A call to Samaritans can sway someone away from the idea of committing suicide – but what happens next?
After a series of campaigns about suicide prevention, we took a new tack in this work for Samaritans. We talked about the many extra years of life that the helpline can give people. To present this in a compelling way, our twist was to thank Samaritans for people’s deaths – of natural causes, and many years after a successful intervention.
Stunning portrait photography by Seamus Ryan helped us tell the stories of people who went on to lead long, full lives – which might otherwise have ended all too early.
The copy for this pack won Gold in the craft category at the DMA Awards.
